This DVD shows 24 hrs. of action along the Mississippi River around Illmo, MO, on the storied UP-SP joint line south of St. Louis in Oct. 1994.  This line has seen many changes since the May, 1988, Trains article  about it.  More than one customer has said that this is the best of our older videos.  105 minutes.

This tape shows over 24 hours of  action at Wellsboro,  in Northern Indiana, where the former B&O line to Chicago, now CSX, crosses the main line of the Grand Trunk Western.  45 trains pounded the diamonds in 24 hrs in August of 1994.   115 minutes.

The former Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy’s line to Denver west of Lincoln, Nebraska, now part of BNSF’s Chicago to Denver line, was the heart and sole of the Burlington Route. Always a favorite of Burlington executives, this line hosted the Burlington’s famous Denver and California Zephyr passenger trains and the Chicago to Denver hot shot freight trains, and was among the first lines on the Burlington to get centralized traffic control over sixty years ago. In spite of the favoritism shown it by Burlington officials, the CB&Q’s Denver line west of Lincoln was never a major freight route and hosted as many passenger trains as freight trains as late as 1960. Today this line still hosts Amtrak’s California Zephyr and carries more freight business than ever. More freight trains traverse this line today than anytime since at least World War II. This program shows all the trains for 24 hours and then some on BNSF’s Denver line between Hastings and McCook in southwestern Nebraska in November of 2008.  65 minutes.  The DVD of this program has the option of being watched with and without narration.

This DVD shows 24 hrs. of UP, SP, BN, and Amtrak action along the Meramec River west of St. Louis in Oct. of 1994.  The UP-SP joint track between St. Louis and Kansas City was written about in June, 1988 Trains.  The BN line is the former Frisco.  65 minutes.

See 24 hours of action in May of 1994 on BC Rail around Lillooet as trains climb in and out of the Fraser River Canyon.   BC Rail runs 10,000 ton trains up 2.2% grades with slave units and pushers in some of the most awesome scenery anywhere.  49 minutes.  This is not a new program.  It was videotaped in Hi8 mm in 1994 and recently converted to DVD.  Although the picture quality is not as good as that in our newer programs, the same approach to showing all of the trains and including a lot of information on operations and history was used in this program.

See 24 hrs. of action in Oct. of 1994 on the former RI east of Herington, KS, where the Golden State and Central Corridor (former DRG&W) trains come together.  With the new ore trains, SP traffic was at its peak.  New and leased power was running on many of the trains.  65 minutes.
